The bulb and roots of wild yams contain a chemical called diosgenin, which can influence the production of several useful hormones in humans, such as estrogen and dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA). Consuming wild yam is a natural way of promoting these hormones in the body. This is great news!

Wild Yam's antispasmadoc properties make it wonderful for tough periods which is just one of the many reasons I have included it in this beautiful blend. It's also anti-inflammatory and can help regulate blood sugar. :)

Consumption of sage (Salvia officinalis) promotes ovarian function by stimulating estradiol hormone release and controlling folliculogenesis (the process by which the female germ cell develops within the somatic cells of the ovary and matures into a fertilizable egg), steroidogenesis (the formation of steroids, as by the adrenal cortex, and ovaries), and autophagy. (the process of getting rid of damaged cells to create new, healthy cells!)

Sage also contains vitamins A and C, along with several other antioxidants which help reduce the risk of serious health conditions like cancer. It's also rich in vitamin K, which aids the body in clotting blood.

 

From the roots of the Suma Plant, Pfaffia is rich in vitamins and minerals, including iron, magnesium, zinc, certain B vitamins, vitamins A, E, and K, and germanium — a trace element praised for its immune-strengthening properties.

Additionally, the root is rich in polyphenols and alkaloids. These two types of antioxidant compounds are believed to prevent cell damage and protect your body from a range of diseases. Praise Jesus!

The flavonoid 8-prenylnaringenin found in hops is classified as a phytoestrogen—a plant-based compound that mimics the activity of the female hormone estrogen. It is believed by some that 8-prenylnaringenin can help increase estrogenic activity in the body, overcoming symptoms of hypoestrogenism (estrogen deficiency).

Alfalfa leaves contain flavones, isoflavones, sterols, and coumarin derivatives. The isoflavones are thought to be responsible for the estrogen-like effects. It has been shown to help lower cholesterol and help manage blood sugar, and relieve symptoms of menopause.

Aromatherapy: The use of natural, aromatic substances, known as essential oils, have been proven to directly connect to the amygdala and the limbic system in the brain where the seat of emotions is, as well as enter the bloodstream just through smelling, offering mental, emotional and physical healing support. Dry Inhalation: Put 1-3 drops of essential oil on a tissue and inhale the aroma through your nose. Pause and inhale again. (Avoid touching your nose with the tissue.) OR, dilute with carrier oil and rub into your hands like lotion then cup your hands over your nose and mouth and breathe deeply through your nose, hold for 7 seconds, exhale and repeat. 

 

Area massage: Mix 6-10 drops of Endocrine in 1 tablespoon of fractionated coconut oil or fragrance-free, natural lotion. In the morning, massage the kidney area (on your back, just above the waist, towards the sides, beneath the rib cage).

 

After Shower: After showering, while your skin is still wet, put 1-3 drops of essential oil in the palm of one of your hands and rub your hands together. Quickly and evenly spread the essential oil over your legs, arms, and torso. Avoid sensitive-skin areas. For maximum skin hydration and to seal in moisture, apply cream, lotion or body oil directly to damp skin.

 

Bath, Foot: Mix 1-3 drops of essential oil in 1/2 teaspoon of carrier oil, such as fractionated coconut oil. Set aside. Fill a tub (deep enough to cover your feet and ankles) with warm water. Add the essential oil mixture, stir well, and immerse your feet for 10-15 minutes. Breathe in the aroma and massage your feet.
