Joy as a Weapon of Warfare

From May 19, 2015

"Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:4-7

If an attitude of rejoicing and thanksgiving in the Lord is a testimony of how the Lord is near-giving you peace and guarding your heart & mind, then the opposite is also true. An attitude of complaining is a testimony that you do not believe the Lord is near, which is an invitation for the enemy to swoop in and attack your unguarded heart & mind. It is a vicious cycle. The more you complain, the more you are left unguarded, the worse the enemy can make your life.

IT'S TIME TO FIND YOUR JOY.

The Lord 's blessings are abundant, but we must CHOOSE to find our JOY in Him and rejoice with thanksgiving at all times. If everything in your life is terrible and painful at the moment, find SOMETHING to rejoice in instead of the obvious things to complain about. It is your weapon of warfare for the moment!
